Nice to see this website, I have a problem with my Tata Indica Vista Quadrajet which I bought in 2010 May, I have driven it for just around 6000 kms and the car is still under warranty. Recently I have shifted to Mumbai and my car was lying for almost a month untouched, obviously the battery went down, I have recharged the battery but now I find still the car is not starting, it does take the shelf and engine makes noise, i have called 2 mechanics , one electrical and one mechanical, mechanical guy has confirmed that there is not a mechanical problem, on his recommendation I called the electrical guy as bit of water had entered into the car through my window which was a bit open and there was lot of moisture inside the car. They both confirmed that the current is not reaching the fuel pump of the car they confirmed fuel pump is working fine. Now they checked the current on the fuse box below the steering and it was confirmed that current was not reaching there, all other fuses are ok nothing shorted as well, he then checked the fuse box and the connections in front bonnet and he confirmed that current was generated fine and the relays were also ok but current was not seeing near the become in the fuse box which is below the steering. He also connected auto diagnostic software called V-checker but unable to find the fault. Do you have any idea on what could be problem and how to approach it, also my car insurance has expired can it impact my warranty or they are mutually exclusive?.

Dear Harsh, There can be only two issues related to starting either current or fuel is not flowing in the designed fashion. I suggest getting in touch with nearest Tata authorized service station for assistance. Do not get into local solution by local technicians as they are not fully equipped with the technology. The diagnostics available in the market are not fully capable of diagnosing root cause rather tata motors diagnostic tool can reach to minute details. Your car is well under warranty and it has nothing to do with insurance. The issue is very minor and can be taken care by Tata Motors representative. They will visit your place for assistance.
