One of the most common issues that people have when it comes to transmissions is when the clutch slips. While the clutch is suppose to do this

• when it is being engaged in order for the car not to jerk
• when starting to accelerate
• when the clutch slips
• when the pedal is fully released
• when a problem is occurring that you need to take a closer look at.
• when an engine is lugging at a lower speed than normal or
• when the engine appears to be under heavy load.
• when a car is going uphill at a higher than normal gear and does not accelerate fast enough.

When this happens you may need to take your car into a workshop as soon as you can because if it is slipping now this will lead to more later. In terms of fixing a clutch in an older model car you may find that you have to replace it completely because of wear on it but when this problem happens in a newer model car it is likely to be faulty parts that may just need replacing that deal with the clutch. Whatever the case, getting to the clutch can be a hard job which can require hours of labor to do so before going to a mechanic with your clutch problems it may be in your best interest to find out if the clutch is the problem. In addition to this you may need to find out exactly what is wrong with the part and if you need to replace a part in it or to replace the part completely.

Clutch chattering occurs as a jerking motion that happens when the clutch pedal is engaged. Chatter in the clutch can happen due to malfunctions such as missing flywheel pins, worn pilot bushing, from the clutch being lose, broken drive straps or a damaged disc. There can also be external causes for the chatter like loose engine mounts. If you are experiencing any of these problems then going to visit a mechanic may be the best option for you. This is important to keep in mind especially if you use your car on a daily basis.
