250 dealerships across the country are resuming operations: Hyundai

Hyundai Motor India today announced the resumption of operations of around 250 dealerships in various states. The company, which is the second-largest car manufacturer in the country, has started work on more than 250 workshops and has begun distributing automobiles.

“We are making a start and we are seeing how things are progressing. We are taking care of all sorts of dealerships and hope that business will return to normal soon,” said Tarun Garg, Hyundai Motor India Limited (HML) Director (Sales and Marketing).

The company has opened dealerships in the Northeast, Kerala, Karnataka, and Uttarakhand. HML currently has over 500 dealerships across the country. Deliveries have also begun for the past two days. There are still plenty of bookings where dealers can clear their stock, ”Garg said. The company has not yet released vehicles from its Chennai plant. Garg said dealers have enough stock to clear pending bookings and a list of the plant if needed.

Asked when the company could resume operations for its entire sales network, he said: “We follow all government-issued guidelines. Our dealers are seeking permission from local authorities, so we want this to happen soon.” Garg said the company is ready with stock availability and online sales are up. HML unveiled its ‘EMI Assurance’ program on select car models purchased in May. The car covers the customer for up to one year from the date of sale.

There are three car loan EMIs in this venture for customers suffering from various problems such as job losses that affect their financial health. “We are confident that the Hyundai EMI Assurance Program will give new Hyundai owners peace of mind at this time and will create a positive and positive attitude towards the Hyundai car,” Garg said.
